On December 17th Detective Maryann Cirulli arrested James Oblinger Jr., 32, of Barnegat on charges stemming from the October burglary of a Route 9 residence.
Officers had responded to the Route 9 residence on October 17th after the homeowner had discovered that someone was stealing property from his garage. The victim provided the officers with a description of the suspect who fled the seen prior to officers arriving.
During the course of her investigation, Detective Cirulli developed Oblinger Jr. as a suspect and ultimately developed evidence which led to his arrest.
Oblinger Jr. was charged with 3rd degree burglary, theft, and criminal mischief. He was released pending a court date after posting $2,500 bail.
